The Wyoming Federation takes pride in the
fact that since statehood in 1890, Wyoming women have had the right to
vote (the first in the nation) and have served on juries. From our
courthouses to the U.S. House of Representatives, Wyoming Republican women
are serving responsibly in elective office. Not to be overlooked, Vice
President Dick Cheney is a proud product of Wyoming. |

The Republican Party and
Republican women were the primary force behind the women's suffrage
movement and the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S.
Constitution; Republican women made history by being the first
women to serve in important roles; Republican women today
continue to explore uncharted territory on behalf of all women.
